Videos have been posted from Spa with the main one being a 5 minute review of our race Congratulations to Deryk Young of Flair Shopfitters: (a Connell racing sponsor) Deryk finished with two fourth places in his 4000cc Gould in the top 12 run off at the British Hill climb Championships at Shelsley Walsh last weekend. We will be testing at the circuit on Friday. Drivers will be Ian Connell, Marc Connell and Franck Pelle. This is a circuit Marc and I have never driven at before! Spa 25 hours TV coverage Sky Sports TV put out several one hour reports on the Spa 25 hours, as did Motors TV. For those of you that missed it, we got some very good coverage. A major race crash for one of our British competitors in his Fun Cup car showed just how dangerous motor racing can be. Connell racing heartbreak at Spa 25 hour Looe based race driver Ian Connell suffered heartbreak last weekend at the world longest motor race, the Spa 25 hours at the famous Belgium Grand Prix Circuit. Team “Cuisine de France / SPAR” get ready for the Spa 25 hour race Team “Cuisine de France / SPAR” in their new Diesel Fun Cup TDI are looking forward to this years big race on our calendar - the SPA 25 hours at the famous Belgian Grand Prix Circuit, near Liege, on July 11/12th. Team “Cuisine de France / SPAR” win Rockingham six hours. Team “Cuisine de France / SPAR raced to victory in the first round of the 2009 Fun Cup UK series at Rockingham on Saturday 4th April in their new TDI diesel Fun Cup car run by Solutions Racing. Dates for the 2009 Fun Cup series Below is the provisional calendar for the 2009 Fun Cup series, with a return to some of our favourite tracks such as Brands Hatch and Donington Park, and as always with the spectacular Spa 25 hours in July. New year, new car and a new team! We are happy to announce that Solutions Racing will be preparing and running our new car for the 2009 season. As well as the Connell Racing team, they have their own Fun Cup car and will also be running another customer car for the season. We are looking forward to working with this experienced group of enthusiastic people! 		Fun Cup Computer Game! I am delighted to advise sponsors that we have paid for the Cuisine de France / SPAR race car complete with all sponsor graphics to be loaded in to the new Fun Cup computer game. We will shortly be giving the OK for the car to be added and it will be released for anyone to download and add it to their game. Then at the next release of the game (1-2 months) it will be included as one of the car choices. When the game is ready to download with our car as an option, I will let you know. This picture is a copy of the link to the game, which actually shows the Cuisine de France / SPAR race car on the page. The existing game has already had over 75,000 downloads.

The race started so well with Pete Cate behind the wheel, but then after a safety car period in which Marc took over, it all started to go wrong! Read more........ News & Reports from 2005 Race Report - Spa 25 hours (July) Ominously we were struggling from the start with a serious power loss of top end power in 5th gear. The car would not rev over 5200 on both long straights, which was a severe handicap. Read the full report..... Race Report - Oulton Park 4 hours (June) Richard & Marc tested as they had not driven at this circuit before. In the top five fastest. But the good times wouldnt last...... Race Report - Donington Park 5 hours (April) The Donington 5 Hours attracted 21 Cars for the 2005 Uniroyal Fun Cup and was the 1st race in 2005 for Connell racing. Practice was wet, but with the actual grid drawn by ballot it was largely irrelevant…………especially as we drew 10th place on the grid.
